Shoe Love

While helping the lovely Wedding Sparrow yesterday in a search for shoes for her bridesmaids I came across these little stunners from Sam Edelman. Now I'm all for the quirk factor when it comes to wedding shoes but are stud and jewel embellished peeptoes taking it a bit too far? Or do you think I can rock the edgy bride look?

Either way these belong in my wardrobe so I best start saving my pennies!

Happy Feet

Are you bored of Blahniks? Not going loopy over Louboutins? Bridal shoes don't have to be the usual variation of a white/ivory/cream court shoe. If you're looking for something a little different, more comfortable or you simply want to incorporate a bit of your own quirky style, then consider a pair of Doc Martens, cowboy boots or Uggs. Your feet will certainly thank you at the end of the day! I love these sparkly Converse. How cute would they look peeking out from under your dress!

These glittery Toms will let you dance the night away pain free. If you're having a summer or beach wedding why not get rid of your shoes altogether and wear some simple beading on your feet.

If you're looking for something a bit out of the ordinary but still want to keep your girlie heels then try some of these beauties on for size.

I want I want I want those Miu Miu heels!

Oh my oh my...look whats caught my eye

Being new to this wedding malarkey I've only just stumbled upon Harriet Wilde, a London based independent footwear label. And wow, am I impressed! If you're searching for something totally unique to adorn your feet on your wedding day then look no further. Harriet Wilde was established by Ruth Shaw in 2008 when she struggled to find shoes for her own wedding that were both stylish and beautiful.

I love Ruth's philosophy:

"unique vintage inspired footwear, stylishly designed in London, made to
the highest quality by shoemakers in Europe, backlash to mass production
and the image that weddings have to be fluffy and not stylish with a
      contemporary edge."

Here are just a few that are going on my Xmas wish list...
